How do I improve my skills as an Agile BA?
There are plenty of resources available online or through facilitated training to improve BA skills. Most techniques based on the IIBA BABOK are technically methodology agnostic but examples or other training material presented may be biased towards plan driven (aka Waterfall) methodologies. I am sharing a few resources here that are especially valuable for BAs operating in an Agile environment.
The IIBA recently released the Agile Extension to the BABOK. This publication was written especially for a BA making a transition to Agile.
The IIBA also publishes several webinars each month. Some are free to the public and they all are free to active IIBA members.
If you become a member, there is an upcoming presentation, "Building and Working with User Stories" scheduled for December 19th that I highly recommend to Agile BAs. The presenter, Shane Hastie is an exceptional thought leader in both the Agile and Business Analysis professional communities.
